Smash Hits is a British pop music based magazine, aimed at teenagers and young adults and was published by EMAP. The magazine ran from 1978 to 2006 and was issued fortnightly.
In 1982 and 1983 the magazine featured a couple of Fame related interviews, snippets, adverts and reviews. Sadly none of the cast ever featured on the front cover but the main 2 issues that featured interviews featured the Fame logo pn the front cover.
September 1982 featured and Interview with Valerie Landsburg, who was on the U.K. on a promotional tour and April 1983 featured interviews with Debbie, Erica, Lee, Carlo and Gene who were in the U.K . on tour.
This article then featured in a retrospective Best on the 80s book which contained different pictures of the cast.
Other issues featured ads for Fame T shirts, albums, singles, magazines and calendars. As well as reviews of some of the albums and singles. Usually the reviews were not very complimentary.
