His Majesty Donlon Continuity Error

In Addition To the "One Dream" Number being placed at the end of the story, when the Episode actually starts after the Kids have just performed and are returning to the School, the close up shots where filmed at a different time in L.A. and not on Location in New York. We see in Loretta's close up that the buttons on her dress are all closed however in the longer shots filmed on location the top button is undone and folded over to the side.

Fame Trivia - CHiPs Filming on the Fame Set 1983

 

Did you watch CHiPs back in the 80s . The final episode "Return of the Brat Patrol"  which aired in 1983 featured a story line taking place in a School. Both shows were filmed at MGM Studios and CHiPs used the "Fame" school set for the interiors. 

They added a couple of plants and a few chairs, along with a few different posters. Also the lockers look dirtier but apart from that it was the same. 

This would have been during Fame's Second season and Keith Coogan who appeared in the  "Fame" episode "Ending On a High Note" that season also appears in this CHiPs episode.

Trivia of the Week - Ken Swofford's Final Episode

Ken Swofford left Fame Suddenly in October 1985 after the completion of the filming of the Season 5 episode "Ebeneezer Morloch". According to Michael Hoey's book Ken was unhappy with the show's executive producers and the direction the show was being taken in.

Here's the extract from Michael Hoey's Book that covers the story.

In November 1985 it was reported that Ken was Suing MGM. The out come of the case is unknown. Here's the News report.

"In this episode, the writers have Dusty try out for the Lead. I'm still in awe about how accurately they portrayed the feelings I, the actress was experiencing, but then again, that was the beauty of "FAME"."

"The writers and producers deal a harsh blow to Dusty. Just before we shot this scene, the writer/director, Donald Reiker pulled me aside and made me open up to all the fear and doubt that I (the actress) had been struggling with since I joined the cast... then we rolled tape."

"I had an opportunity to do a scene with Kevin McCarthy. Before we shot the scene I asked him if we could run lines. He felt it would be better to just do it fresh on camera. He was right. In the scene, he made me (the actress) feel worthy and special. I pray we all have someone like that in our lives. I do.. and they know who they are. Thank you!!!"

To Tilt At Windmills Trivia

 After 40 episodes, spanning 4 seasons, of guest starring as Dwight, David Greenlee made his final appearance on the show in To Tilt At Windmills.
