Rock n Roll World - Song of the Month

"Rock n Roll World" comes from the season 3 episode "Lisa's Song". The song is written by Nick Oosterveen and George Michalski who recorded the original version for their 1979 Michalski and Oosterveen album.

On Fame it is performed by Valerie Landsburg, Carlo Imperato, Gene Anthony Ray, Cynthia Gibb and Billy Hufsey. Although it was only featured in one episode the song was recorded originally for a promo to advertise season 3 as it moved from NBC to Syndication in America.

For the promotion the song was released and gave it's name to the title of the the American album featuring music from season 2 and was also released as a single. It also appeared a year later on the Best of Fame Album.

As yet the song has never been performed in any of the Fame concerts.

Every time I see you

Rock n rolling to a tune

I wanna take you in my arms

And love you, love you all night long

I can't stop watching you

That you swing your hips around

There ain't nobody quite like you

When the music's going down

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll, rock n roll world

Some ain't got no class

And some ain't got no soul

It looks like you got everything

Everything to rock n roll

I can't stop watching

As you swing your hips around

There ain't nobody quite like you

When the music's going down

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll, rock n roll, rock n roll world

You don't know what it's like

Living in a rock n roll world

Can't keep from dancing

Can't stop romancing in a rock n roll world

Do you know how it feels to me

When I see you move so free

In a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll, rock n roll, rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll world

 It's a rock n roll world

It's a rock n roll, rock n roll, rock n roll world

"Once In Awhile, I Stop And I Smile,
And Think About the Times We Share.
 If Something Goes Wrong,
 It won't Be Very Long,
Cause I Know That You Are There.

Once In Awhile I Think Of Your Smile,
And All The Memories We've Known.
They're Not Gonna End, I'm Telling You Friend.
Neither One Of Us Could Ever Be Alone.

The Laughter In Eyes That's Certain,
The Look That Let's Me Know You're Pleased.
How Ever Day You Reassure Me,
  When No one Else Believes.

Once In Awhile Though It's Not My Style,
I Wonder What My Life Would Be Without You.
I'd Only Get Through Cause You Taught Me To
And There's No Way I Could Doubt You.

Once In Awhile I Sit And I Smile
And Think Of All the Things Before Us.
The Good And The Bad, The Happy And The Sad.
And When I Think Of You Again.
It Will Be More Than Just Once In Awhile."

"You're Looking At A Dream,

And It Seems So Far Away.

So You Hide Your Hopes Inside Your Heart,

Waiting For A Brighter Day.

I Know Just What You Feel,

You Don't Know Where To Start.

Once You've Made It Past Your Fear

You're Past The Hardest Part.

Take That First Step,

The Hardest One Of All.

It Only Looks Easy,

Till You Stumble And Fall.

Take That First Step,

Let Your Heart Lead The Way,

Only Then You'll Discover,

We Both Need Each Other,

Every Step, Of The Way.

Some Times It's Hard To Know,

Just Where That Step Will Lead.

A Thousand Choices Call You,

Which Ones The One You Need?

There Is No Certain Answer,

All We Can Do Is Try.

We Gamble And Win, Together Begin

And Your Heart Can Be Your Guide.

Take That First Step,

The Hardest One Of All.

It Only Looks Easy,

Till You Stumble And Fall.

Take That First Step,

Let Your Heart Lead The Way,

Only Then You'll Discover,

We Both Need Each Other,

Every Step,

 Take That First Step,

The Hardest One Of All.

It Only Looks Easy,

Till You Stumble And Fall.

Take That First Step,

Let Your Heart Lead The Way,

Only Then You'll Discover,

We Both Need Each Other,

Every Step, Of The Way." Th

Spontaneous Combustion Script Extended & Deleted Scenes

The Script for Spontaneous Combustion is very accurate to the actual TV Episode, with very little deviation. There are a couple of word changes in the dialogue but not much else. Near the start where we see Lydia and  Sherwood carrying food trays and heading to the teachers lounge there is a scenes set in the cafeteria that is suppose to happen first setting the scene but this does not appear in the episodes, instead the teachers are seen walking towards the lobby.

In the episode this line belongs to Mrs Berg and not Lydia as it appears in the script.

When Shorofsky finds Cassidy playing the keyboard in the cafeteria this line of dialogue is missing. Instead he just asks "What d'ya think?"

Morloch's line about using the company is deleted from the initial request for Shorofsky to have a drink with him but is added at the end where Morloch asks him to make an exception this time.

After Lydia quits Morloch's line of dialogue is deleted.
