Jillian Becket is the youngest child of a New York, Irish American Cop. Being the only girl in the family and being the baby of the family she's led a very sheltered life, living by her father's strict rules. Her father brings her to school in a police car with the sirens blaring and keeps checking up on her whilst she's at school and picks her up after school along with her older brothers., who are also over protective.
When she starts dating Danny in "The Last Dance" her brothers Patrick, also a cop and Sean, a marine are also over protective. Sean even turns up on their first date to keep an eye on things. It all gets so out of hand that Jillian has to put her foot down as she wants to become more independent. Over time we do see her rebel a little like in "That Was The Weekend That Was" where she asks Reggie to give her a radical make over.
In "Love Kitten's go to High school" Jillian falls for the director Jeff Stave, when she's assigned as his assistant but initially she thinks he's a jerk. She soon realizes that his work is always going to come first and their relationship isn't going to work out. Later in the series she's back dating Danny.
Jillian who is scared of the dark is hard working, sweet and nice and always wants things to be perfect, which she sometimes gets teased for. She's always been a straight A student so in "Alice Doesn't Work Here Anymore" when she fails to turn in a history paper she's worried about her parent's reaction when they are told she has failed an assignment.
In "The Big Contract" she becomes the editor of the school newspaper "The Masquer". Then in Of Cabbages and Kings she is part of the team screening items to go in the time capsule.
