Michael Cerveris comments on working with Mike Preston on the season 6 episode "Pros and Cons":
"no one was more excited than I was to learn that Ian's
dad was going to be played by Mike Preston from Mad Max 2: Road Warrior. The
fact that his accent was Australian and mine was (faux) East London was either
unnoticed or irrelevant. What mattered was that he was a great guy and I got to
sing an old English music hall tune wiv the ol pot and pan.
