Quentin Morloch the School of the Arts Vice Principal arrives in the episode "Gonna Learn How To Fly". His forthright, stubborn manor instantly makes him unpopular with both Faculty and Students. Sometimes his attention to detail, honesty and adherence to the rules rubs people up the wrong way and we frequently see him creating conflict. Not on purpose but that tends to be the by product of his actions.
Coming from a sports background, where he had previously been a professional baseball player, he's a man's man and not really in touch with his sensitive side. At first he doesn't really understand the desire to be a performer.
As a lifelong Republican he is a huge fan of Ronald Reagan and he believes respect and protocol are paramount.
He also teaches Science at the School.
As a child his parents divorced and having 2 sets of parents caused him to lose a little of his human side as he learnt at an early age life has more than it's fair share of disappointments.
He is single and lives alone and doesn't seem to have very many friends and is often looking for deeper relationships with other members of the faculty than they are prepared to reciprocate. Morloch has a soft spot for Elizabeth Sherwood, who he views and a sophisticated and intelligent lady.
In "Ebenezer Morloch" we discover that in High School his first love, Francine he let gt away o because he felt he had to make a choice between her and his career and his career won.
While in college, where his nickname was Bull, he introduced his room mate Bob Demeter to his girlfriend Dede Callaghan but Bob and Dede got together leaving Quentin out in the cold. For over 20 years Morloch has regretted losing the love of his life. In "Danny De Bergerac"
he has a second chance with Dede but actually ends up helping her stay with her husband.
For Morloch things are often black or white or right or wrong and he often needs t shown that sometimes things aren't that simple. Despite his hard exterior Quentin does deep down care about the school and it's pupils and teachers.
In the season 5 episode "Choices" we learn that Morloch as decided to leave the School of the Arts and Moves to Buffalo to coach a semi pro baseball team.
