Fame UK Reunion made a statement on social media last month that they have partnered with Easy Fundraising, which is a shopping site. Setting up an account and then shopping with your favourite stores, via the easy Fundraising website they will donate cashback to the charity.
"Help Fame UK Reunion to
recuperate lost funds at absolutely no cost to you.
In 2019 and 2022 we
produced a series of concerts which reunited the original cast of the hit TV
show Fame. The aim was to raise money for Claire House Children’s Hospice in
the North West.
In 2019 we successfully
raised £27,000.
However in 2022 we lost
almost £40.000.
This is a debt that has
been taken on by the organisers personally.
There was no business
to declare bankrupt, no large backers to bail us out.
This is a request to
try and help recoup some of those funds.
We can’t possibly
consider producing any more reunion events while we are still in deficit.
Please be reassured that if we ever move from debt to profit, all profits will
be donated to Claire House as originally intended."
