Nia Wrote:
"Back in the day I
gave up my scholarship to UCLA in order to just “get on with it” in the
entertainment field. I was just too hungry to express what I wanted to express
and share all the inspiration with others.
Decades later, for
the work I’ve done with youth over the years, I’ve been given an honorary
doctorate degree in humanities.
How much fun is
that!
Call me Dr Peeples!"
Last Month Janet Jackson appeared at the American Music Award where she was presented with an Icon Award. Janet performed on TV for the first time in 7 years.
Erica Gimpel posted a new song she wrote last month.
Erica Posted:
"Hello Beautiful
People,
I had a dream
playing my drum and the next day this song came through me…
I share it with you
today…
Palestine Rising
I can no longer see
children die
I can no longer hear
mother’s cries
I can no longer
watch father’s burned alive
I can no longer
silence my own voice
Images of war, give
me no choice
But to join the
millions ‘round the world singing …
Palestine Rising
Palestine Rising
Happening in our
lifetime
Will we turn away
our eyes?
Or join the millions
‘round the world singing…
Palestine Rising
Palestine Rising
