"One of my earliest tv appearances was in a short lived series, Gabriel’s Fire, starring this legend. I confess I spent much of my minimal scene with him staring at his mouth, transfixed as “That Voice” emanated from it. He was so kind, encouraging and generous to this utterly green kid and it only made me revere him more. Learning this sad news at rehearsal in the theater district feels like a gift and a guide to honor every moment of this work, as this great man seemed to, always."

"Time stops
A great artist has passedMr. James Earl Jones
It was my great honor to play his daughter in the Christmas movie Santa & Pete. I will cherish that moment in time for the rest of my life.
Rest well Dear Sir, Mr. James Earl Jones. You were a giant, a trailblazer, a genuine artist. Thank you for all the great films you have left for us to savor, cherish and treasure. Thank you for the memory of seeing you on Broadway in August Wilson’s Fences, and then in the Gin Game with Cicely Tyson. Thank you for all you have given us.
I send my love to your family and close friends as they walk through this time.
Peace,
Erica""
Michael Cerveris' band Loose Cattle have released a new single titled "Joanne" which comes from their new album "Someone's Monster" which is due out on November 1st.
Lee Curreri recently posted about his experience composing the song "Everyone's A Winner" for the 1983 Yummy Awards.
Lee said:
"When NBC asked me to
come up with a song for the Saturday Morning cartoon lineup, I did a demo in my
little bedroom studio with an Emulator 1, a Linn Drum, a Rhodes, and an OBx-a
synth. The day after I submitted the demo, I heard a knock on my dressing room
door - it was my arranger idol, Peter Matz (the bandleader for the Carol
Burnett Show). Some kids idolized athletes, I idolized bandleaders 😃
Peter was working on the charts for the song. He invited me to the recording
session with the orchestra. I was in seventh heaven - I got to hear an
orchestra perform what I had recorded, overdubbing with my Emulator on a Tascam
4-track - with Peter Matz conducting!"
Olivia Barash will be a guest at Fan Fusion Convention at double tree near the Hilton Hotel, Collinsville Illinois. The event takes place 22nd to 24th November 2024.
