Class Act script Extended and Deleted Scene

The opening of the episode is supposed to be taking place at a Gas Station, where Lydia and Elizabeth are taking Lydia's bike to have the time fixed. It actually makes more sense of the conversation they are having but presumably got cut due to time. The opening dialogue from the Radio Dj is longer in the script and we establish it's Saturday morning.

Part of the Conversation between Lydia and Sherwood is cut in the Episode.

The end of the street scene has Sherwood talking to the mechanic which doesn't appear in the Episode.

There is a deleted scene between the teachers in the office which in the script goes in the scene where Reardon can't remember Danny's name which in the episode comes much later. Then continues in the Teachers lounge.

The Scene where Ben talks to the kids in the auditorium is moved from Act2 in the script to Act 1 in the episode and is extended in the script.

The original script had an extended scene at the start of Act 3 where Doris and Coco were trying to persuade Shorofsky to get Bruno to help them by composing for the High Flying Number.

Act 4 Also has scenes that were in the original script but were deleted from the episode.

The scene with Bruno conducting in Shorofsky's Class is slight longer in the script:

There is more dialogue in the script before Dancing Endlessly ands an additional couple of lines after the song that aren't in the Episode:

Trivia - Valerie Landsburg "Puddin"!

During the Online Audience with Valerie Landsburg in February 2023, Valerie talked about Fame guest stars and mentioned Glynn Turman who appeared in the season 2 episode "Class Act". Valerie said she loved working with him and years later would direct in a play.

She also said that he would always call her "Puddin'". In the episode "Class Act" he also uses the word when addressing Doris. It's not in the script so presumably he just adlibbed in the scene.
