Trivia of the Week - Janet Jackson Two To The Power of Love

"Two To The Power of Lover" was written by Peter Beckett and Steven A Kipner. It was produced by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte. It was the 2nd Single released from Janet Jackson's 1984 "Dream Street" album but it failed to chart in the U.S.

Performed by Janet Jackson and Cliff Richard it reached number 83 in the U.K. singles charts and was Janet's  single to hit the top 100 singles. It reached number 7 in South Africa.

Janet stated that she never actually met Cliff and that they recorded their vocals in different Countries. She also stated that she didn't care very much for the song and that she did it because her Father organised it. It was seen as a way to break Janet in Europe where Cliff was a big name but this was his lowest charting single in years.
