Beautiful Dreamer - Song of the Month

 

"Beautiful Dreamer" is a lovely ballad written by Paul Jabara and Jay Asher. It was first performed in the season 21 Episode "And The Winner Is" by Valerie Landsburg, with Lee Curreri accompanying on Piano.

The song appears on the Fame Album "Songs" released in November 1982 in America and April 1983 in the U.K.

Written in 1980 for the soundtrack of the film "Inside Moves" where it was performed by Lady Sylvia. It was also recorded by the songwriter Paul Jabara, however it was not released commercially until  his "Greatest Hits and Misses" album which was released in 1989.

The song was performed live in 1983 in Israel as part of the ballad medley. A personal favourite of Valerie Landsburg she has performed the song live at Reunions in Italy in 2015, in L.A. 2017 and in the U.K. 2022.
