Mrs Gertrude Berg - Character of the Month

Mrs Gertrude Berg has been working as a secretary in the school office for years. The lovable and ditzy lady maybe forgetful at times and might get a little confused but she has her finger on the pulse and keeps the office running pretty smoothly.

She is kind and caring and always ready to help others out. She loves nothing more than hearing the gossip of what everyone is up to and working in the office is the perfect place for her to get all the information she needs on the teachers and students.

Mrs Berg is always fighting to get a raise and has a volatile relationship with Vice Principal Quentin Morloch.

In "Lisa's Song" we discover that Mrs Berg is a Medium and she uses her skills to try to communicate with a ghost in the school. In "The Incident" she also tries to communicate with student Jesse Velasquez, who was in a comma at the time.

We learn in "Alice Doesn't Work Here Anymore" that 40 years ago in her her younger days Mrs Berg  was also an actress named Alice Bowmont, who made a couple for films but she chose a different path and got married, had children and now has grand children. However over that time she shared letters with her old flame and director of some of her films telling him that she was Principal of the School of the Arts.
