Trivia of the Week- David Greenlee playing The Sousaphone!

David Greenlee Revealed that when he first started on Fame he couldn't actually play the Sousaphone, although over time he didn't lean how to play a little bit.

He stated that he was terrified the first time they put him in it and that he had to work hard to learn the fingers and the breaths so he could coordinate with the music.

David also stated that Tommy Johnson actually recorded the Sousaphone music which he would mime to.  Tommy was a famous Tuba and Sousaphone player who actually played the menacing notes on the Jaws theme.

Dwight's girlfriend Muffin in the series Fame also appeared to play the sousaphone though she only appeared in 2 episodes through it's 6 season run. Muffin was played by Simpsons voice actress Nancy Cartwright.
