This month we show case some of the other roles the fame cast have played in Movies and Other TV shows. Some will be the whole film, or show, others will be clips of the fame stars in action. A big Thank you to Larry Van Cassele for posting some of the clips.

 

 

The Episode of the Month is "A River To Cross" from Season 5 and posts for that start on 16th May.

 

 

Sad news in that our Facebook friend Christina Wlazlowski died suddenly last month. Christina who had been battling serious health conditions for some time passed away on 8th April.

Christina loved Fame and particularly Carol Mayo Jenkins, who inspired her and was the one that set up the Elizabeth Sherwood Fan Center page and would keep us all informed of the work Carol was doing at the Clarence Brown Theatre.

 

 A number of Christina's Fame friends have suggested that if people want to make donations to the Theatre to help support the teaching work that Carol now does, then this would be a fitting way to honour our friend.

Christina's funeral was held Saturday April 30th

Cynthia Gibb is running a Summer Camp: Here's what she had to say:

 

Hi Everyone! We are running a summer camp for teens from June 27-July 30 for teens entering 9th grade through graduating seniors. We'll be putting up Footloose, the Musical. This is an all-inclusive camp (no audition necessary to enroll) and we'll be taking a field trip into NYC to see Michael Cerveris in Fun Home and meet the cast. Hope you can join us! Congratulations To Erica Gimpel on winning the Stage Raw Award 2016 for Best Solo Performance for her play "Sister"

 

Out of the blue I had email from PR Paul the other day. It was great to hear from him. He's now on Facebook for anyone wanting to connect to him under his other name Paul Rosenbaum. Having sold his family store in New York he's getting back into his love of music and has made a video for the song "Immoral Majority" which was Written by PR and Phil Booth. It was produced by James McVay, who is Valerie Landsburg's ex husband.   He's set up a YouTube account under the name Meat Boy which was the name he had way back in the Fame days when he was in a group called Raw Meat.

Congratulations to Debbie Allen who won the Icon Trailblazer award at last Months TV Land Awards. Debbie was presented the award by her friend and Grey's Anatomy co star Ellen Pompeo.

Janet Jackson having cancelled the remaining U.S. Concert dates and released a video stating that she and her husband we trying for a family. Many took this to mean that Janet is actually pregnant although she never actually states that in the video. Whatever she is planning we wish her good luck. Live Nation who sponsor the Unbreakable Tour have sent out emails stating that the tour will continue in 2017!
