#MorganStevens #FameRIP: Saddened & crushed to hear of the transition of my friend & colleague Morgan Stevens. We worked together on The #MGMFame series in the 80’s. Morgan was not only talented but also generous in Heart & Spirit. He was friendly & kind treating all with equal respect. He always saw me. RIP Dear Friend.❤️🙏🌈

Last Month Sidney Poitier died, may he rest in peace and some of the Fame cast posted tributes.

Michael Delorenzo said:

“today is a very sad day ...we lost a #giant a #legend an #icon ...It seems those words are not even big enough to really describe the talent and the human being that is #SidneyPoitier...

not only a colleague but a mentor he always made me feel welcomed...

I first met Mr. Poitier when we worked together on the dance movie #FastForward... he related a story to me while we were filming that his daughters had threatened him that if he did not cast me they would not speak to him... but an even better story was rehearsal's prepping I broke my foot...now on a dance movie that's kind of a problem if one cannot dance...

I thought immediately he's going to fire me... but when he found out he called to check on me ...which he didn't have to do ...and after a few moments into our chat ... a short silence ...which felt like forever and in that moment I was sure he was going to say sorry michael but we are going to have to recast your part... instead he asked...will you be better in 3 weeks because that's when your 1st scene will be filmed ...

now of course I quickly said yes...

to which he said ...oK I'll see you in 3 weeks...even though my doctor said to me it would take 4 to 6 weeks to heal...

but by the grace of a higher power and Mr Poitiers belief in me ...

cause you do not want to be the one to disappoint #Academy #Award #Winner Sidney Poitier ...

I made it ...on set in NYC filming my 1st scene...

thank you mr Sidney Poitier

your humanity and talent will be greatly missed...”

“The measure of a man is in how he has lived and what he leaves behind…

Sir Sidney Poitier was a true example of grace, dignity, fierce focus, deep rooted self-respect, intense artistry, love of family and community, and a profound commitment to civil rights!

This wonderful man now Rests in Peace

Thank you… Thank you for all you have given us

#Thankyou

Debbie Allen Said:

You opened the door for us all. We will forever speak your name.”

Your last sunset with us is the dawn of many generations rising in the path of light you blazed. We will always hold you in our hearts and forever speak your name.”

Have a great Month,

Mark
