"Start Anew" is a very rare Janet Jackson track that was released as a single only in Japan on 11th October 1985. Written by Ralph McCarthy & Yuji Toriyama it was also an additional track on the initial pressing of the Japanese release of Janet's "Control" album.
Season 3 of my fan fiction story "Doris Schwartz Time and Again" starts with Episode 1 titled "Pick Up The Broken Pieces Part 1". The title comes from the season 4 song "Broken Pieces".

All this disruption had meant that differing time lines had merged into one and her friends from 6 different years had all met up together at a hospital. "The Magic is Working", written by Dorie Pride and Gene Dozier, is performed by Janet Jackson from her 1982 self titled debut album. Janet performed the song on "Different Strokes".
"Fast Girls" is the third single to be released from Janet Jackson's Dream Street album and was released on 23rd October 1984. Written by Jesse Johnson it peaked at numebr 40 on the U.S. R&B charts.
"Don't Stand Another Chance" is the lead single from Janet Jackson's second album, Dream Street and was released on 13th August 1984. Written by Marlon Jackson and John Barnes it was Janet's second single to enter of the top 10 of the U.S. R&B chart reaching number 9. Backing vocals are performed by Janet's brothers Michael, Tito and Jackie Jackson. Janet performed this song during the first part of the "Fame", "Heart of Rock n Roll" concert.
"Don't Mess Up this Good Thing" written by Wardell Potts Jr, Barry Sarna and Dana Meyers, is performed by Janet Jackson. It was the 5th Single from her self titled 1982 album and was released on 18th July 1983.
"Love And My Best Friend" written by Rene Moore and Angela Winbush. It is performed by Janet Jackson and was the 4th single, release on 16th May 1983, from her 1982 self titled debut album.
"Say You Do", Written-By – Rene Moore and Àngela Winbush, was the third single taken from Janet Jackson's 1982 self-titled debut album. The Single was released on April 29th 1983 in the U.S. It peaked at number 15 on the R&B chart and number 11 on the dance chart.

"Come Give Your Love to Me", written by Glen Barbee & Charmaine Sylvers, was the second single from Janet Jackson's 1982 self-titled debut album. It was released in the U.S. on 10th January 1983 and peaked at number 58 on the pop chart, number 17 on the R&B chart, and number 30 on the dance chart.
"A Love Song For Kids" is Janet Jackson's first recording. It comes from 1978 and is the B side to her Brother Randy Jackson's first singe "How Can I Be Sure".
This month, as it's Janet Jackson's birthday on the 16th, it will be Janet month on Kids from fame Media. We will be looking at her early years before she released her "Control" album and posting those early albums, singles, B sides and remixes. As well as some early child performances Janet did.
In addition we will be posting lots of magazine articles featuring the cast, including the rare Muppet Magazine which our friend Carmela has very kindly sent to us. Also this month we see the return of my fan fiction story "Doris Schwartz Time and Again" with the first story of season 3.
The Episode of the Month is "School Is Out" from Season 4 to tie in with it being Janet Jackson Month. Posts start tomorrow.

Erica Gimpel, who is currently working on her 2nd album, tentatively titled "Believe in You" will be performing in concert at the National Center for the Preservation of Democracy – Democracy Forum Los Angeles on Saturday June 16th 2012 at 6.15pm to 8.30pm.
Debbie Allen makes her 4th appearance on Grey's Anatomy, this season, on May 3rd.
