Fame News October 2022

The reunion maybe over but the celebrations continue here at Kids From Fame Media as we  relive the events  all month long.

We will continue with our posts of all the songs performed in both the the Be My Music and Reunion Concerts.

In addition we'll have all the questions asked at the Q&A event as well as details of the Press conference and other Events.

Due to the proximity of the stage to the front row we actually found it really hard to film the concerts so we are grateful for others posting on YouTube like Larry @rememberfame on Instagram and Petra den Braber. We'll be supplementing our own videos with some of theirs.

One very interesting thing that was mentioned a couple of times at the reunion was a new TV project that has been created, written and produced by PR Paul, Lee Curreri and Carlo Imperato called "Fameless". It stars all 3 who are playing older actors who used to be on a TV show called "Fame" who now end up helping others achieve their dreams of stardom. The pilot is already made and they are trying to get a network interested.  The theme song, written by Lee is performed by Jesse Borrego.  PR asked fans to contact networks like Netflix, Hulu, Showtime etc... and ask them to buy this series. As soon as we have any more details we'll let you know.

Apparently, there is already a show called Fameless so when suggesting to Networks please say Fameless created by Paul Rosenbaum, Lee Curreri and Carlo Imperato.

Jesse Borrego has a request. During the Convention he got to see lots of photos of himself from back in the Fame days, which people asked him to sign.  He told us that actually he doesn't have any of the photos himself and would love it if fans could send some to him. So if you have any high quality pictures, either black and white or colour, you can send the to mark1814uk@googlemail and we'll pass them all on to Jesse.

Cynthia Gibb went straight from the Convention in Birmingham to a retreat in Italy. She told us that these retreats will become an annual thing in June each year. So if you want to hang out with Cynthia keep June free. We'll give details of next years retreat as soon as we have them.

I met Frank C Clifford, the author of the new book "Gonna Live Forever" at the Fame UK Reunion Convention on 11th September. I then read the book in one day. It's a great timeline of Fame events covering the original film and TV series, profiles of the cast and exclusive Q&A with many of the cast members. It's very well researched and a must for all Fame Fans.

A heartfelt tribute exploring the enduring magic of Fame – originally a 1980 movie musical by Alan Parker with a highly successful soundtrack, later a six-season TV series, and in recent years a show-stopping stage musical around the world. Included are facts, quotes and biographies of its stars, as well as exclusive interviews and cast photos. This fundraising volume includes extended, inspirational profiles of Academy Award winner Irene Cara and 2020 Kennedy Center Honors recipient Debbie Allen.

Limited Fame UK Reunion Edition available at the reunion. £18.99. All proceeds go to Claire House.

The regular Edition and Ebook are available from Amazon and this month will be available from other retailers.

For those who couldn't attend and for those who want to see it again, Fame UK Reunion will be streaming a professionally filmed recording of the "Be My Music" Concert that took place in Liverpool on August 28th, starring Valerie Landsburg, Cynthia Gibb and PR Paul.

The Streaming event will take place as a one off on Saturday 8th October and costs £12.00 to join the Event.

Having received positive messages after her video message for the fame UK Reunion Concerts, Lori Singer sent a further message to Producer Sue Hinds.

Wishing everyone a fantastic month and a Happy Halloween,

Mark.
