The Crazies was filmed over the seven day period Wednesday 3rd February 1982 to Thursday 11th February 1982 and was originally planned as the final episode of the season. The Shooting Schedule ends with "see you next season".
However, after the episode was filmed NBC ordered an additional 3 episodes, so the cast and crew were recalled to film, "A Big Finish", "Reunions" and "A Special Place" but Erica Gimpel was unavailable to film those episodes so does not appear.
