Page Hannah joined Fame in 1986 as main cast member part way through Season 5 and she featured in 8 episodes as Kate Riley.
When Season 6 started she had disappeared and no explanation was given on screen. However in the Season 6 production notes sent out to the press it is mentioned that Kate has left the School of the Arts and transferred to a school in Boston.
