"Just Like You" comes from the season 2 Episode "Class Act" where it was performed by the Water, with Debbie Allen recording it for the album.

The Song was written by Tom Saviano and Jean Marie Arnold, who were members of the group  Heat and comes from their self titled 1980 album. It was also their debut single released on 7 inch and 12inch single.

Reportedly Debbie Allen chose the song personally to perform on Fame and record for the Kids From fame Songs Album.
