Fame News!
Happy New Year Everyone!
This month we will be posting all about our adventures during the wonderful Italian Reunion, with pictures and videos of all the songs. Plus behind the scenes information.
It was an amazing experience. Far more than just going to seen you favourites perform in concert. A true celebration of love, friendship and Family. To everyone I met, talked to, hugged, laughed with and cried with thank you for making my time in Italy so amazing.
The January issue of The Kids from Fame Media Magazine will be posted on January 25th and will be and Italian Reunion Special. This will be the last Magazine for the time being.
We'll also be continuing our 35th Anniversary posts of the U.S. broadcasts of the Season 2 episodes. All this plus our regular charts, songs, pictures and Ebay items of the week. With so much time spent on the Reunion there's been no time for an episode of the month but those posts will continue later in the year.
Debbie Allen be holding Dance Sunday on January 14th.
She will be holding a DADA on Pointe event 24th to 27th March. For more details go to the Debbie Allen Dance Academy Website
Erica Gimpel had the following message on Facebook for the New Year:
"There is a saying "The way you end the year is the way you begin the next". I am grateful to be sharing time with family and also grateful to have had the opportunity of working with Isabella Rossellini in the series SHUT EYE which is now streaming on Hulu. I'm in episodes 6, 8 & 10.
Here's to abundant work in 2018 for everyone of us… dear friends and family... Work we are hired to do and work we create! Here we come 2018! Yes!"
One piece of sad news. Fame fan Barbara Bandini who was with us in Italy passed away suddenly after Christmas, having had an aneurysm. Whilst we were in Italy a group of us danced in the streets of the small town, to "Body Language". Barbara watched and encouraged us but was too shy to join in.
After the reunion is over she regretted not dancing and promised that she would dance at the next Fame Reunion event (whenever or wherever that may be). She even sent me a suggestion that we should perform "Hot Times In The City Streets" next time. Sadly this will not now be possible. Moral of the story, life is short, so dance when you get the opportunity other wise it may be too late.
Barbara it was lovely meeting you. Rest In Peace my dear. You will be missed at the next Fame Family Reunion but we will remember you when we dance and you will ere in spirit xx
Lee Curreri posted on Facebook:
"Favorite party of the year...Eartha's Kwanzaa Celebration!"
It seems Carlo Imperato, his wife Angie and Paul Rosenbaum we also in attendance.
Have a great month and All the best for 2018.
Mark
