Valerie Landsburg has a message about her KickStarter campaign to raise funds for "Offer and Compromise"
"In 37 years of acting, writing, directing and developing projects, including Offer & Compromise, this Kickstarter campaign is the hardest thing I have ever done.
Shooting 18 hour days, on my feet in terrible weather with animals, children and everything going wrong - is easier than... Asking for money.
Asking you for money to support my efforts as a director has been very hard for me. If I had to raise money for you, that would be easy. You deserve it, you are great, I believe in you.
Needless to say, through this journey I have been given a gift, the opportunity to look very deep inside myself and learn to ask for help. The outpouring of people who have pledged their money or their support has been incredible. What has kept me going is sitting quietly, late at night, sending thank you messages for our pledges and answering emails of support.
Unfortunately, we got kicked in our metaphorical nuts with the Kickstarter hacking news. The good news is that the money is administered through Amazon so no financial information was compromised. And Kickstarter is all or nothing, so no one's credit card is charged unless we reach our goal.
Again, I want to acknowledge and say how thankful I am to the community of people from all around the world that have helped us with this project. We are doing everything we can to reach our goal and when we do, we know we will make a wonderful movie.
