In 1982 Madonna auditioned for a role on Fame. I've seen reported on other sites that she was auditioning for Doris! However, Valerie was cast as Doris in 1980 as the pilot shot in december of that year. As the first video shows Madonna was auditioning for a guest role in season 2 as a love interest for Danny.
