Fame News!

Well, December is here again and I hope everyone is feeling Christmassy. I know I certainly am! To help get everyone in the mood there will Christmas songs to download each day along with a few Christmas episodes/films of things starring our Fame cast and the usual music, video and interviews you've come to expect.

I haven't had time to sort out and end the season 2 favourite episode poll so have decided to leave it running for this month too. The final results will be posted in January. So keep voting for your favourites.

There is a new forum open run by one of our friends, Toni from Spain. It's primarily an 80's Soap Forum but there are sections for other shows, including "Fame".

By all accounts the Fame concert in Italy was a great success and a wonderful show enjoyed by everyone who went. From what I've heard and from the photos I've posted Nia, Erica, Cynthia and Jesse performed some great versions of the Fame songs. I'm hoping to bring you more information on this as soon as I get it. Many Thanks to Derek and Fabrizio for the information, photos and for thinking of me while you were enjoying the show and getting the cast to send messages.

The episode of the Month is "Choices" from season 5 and posts for that start on Monday December 5th.

The Flutterbies, featuring Lee Curreri on Keyboards performing "The First Rain Of October". From the show they did together last month.

Debbie Allen's Hot Chocolate Nutcracker returns this year at UCLA Royce Hall for shows 6th to 10th of December, with a special Gala performance on December 8th starring debbie Allen and Carlo Imperato.

"The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker is sure to become an annual Holiday Classic. I have taken tradition and given it a new context, fresh lively characters, new music and spectacular dancing to bring a vibrant unforgettable theater experience for all families to enjoy. Following the idea of the original, its Christmas Eve and the Johnson Family, friends and neighbors are having a grand party. The Christmas gifts are shared and young Kara receives a Nutcracker filled with hot chocolate – her favorite! She falls asleep and the journey begins when the Nutcracker comes alive! She follows him to many lands of wonder: Candy Cane Lane, Egypt, the Rainforrest, Jazzland, Russia and the Land of the Kimono Dolls, China. The entire story is narrated by three wisecracking mice: Harvey, Schmink and Buckey. Plus, I am going to be in the show! Don’t miss this wonderful production created just for you!!
Sincerely, Debbie Allen"
