Cleo Hewitt is a new student who arrives in "Indian Summer". A little shy, she feels no one is taking any notice of her until Jesse persuades her to show what she's made of.
The school gives her the opportunity to stage manage for "The Monster that Devoured Las Vegas" as well as perform.
When one of the dancers is injured in "Nothing Personal" Cleo asks to be allowed the opportunity to dance the lead. Lydia reluctantly agrees but a devastating review in the School Paper by Chris Donlon causes Cleo to quit the school and take a part time job at Lou's Lanes. Although it's not long before she recognises her mistake and returns to school.
Cleo is upset when she accidently bumps into Miss Sherwood, landing her in hospital in "Spontaneous Combustion" causing the School to ban singing and dancing in the halls.
At the end of the school year Cleo is upset when her family decide to move to Hollywood and she won't be returning to the School. In "School is Out" she reminisces with Nicole and Jesse about their year at the school.
